Mosaics -- Byzantine Art

Posted at The Keep earlier.
I had these lying around on my computer and realized .... "I may not have posted them anywhere before" ... so here they are. They utilize the Red vs Blue Oil portrait, The Lady on Red portrait and Two Dogs and an Olive painting by Maxis (basegame).
Download Mosaics--Byzantine Art
As you may have noticed in the slideshow, some of the paintings have been created in the reverse for symmetry. I like symmetry.

A Comfy Seat -- Fit for a King

I had made these because of two castles I had seen posted at The Keep by Lady Chandler and child_of_air -- Amy's Royal Residence, just posted here earlier. I wanted them to have some nice thrones for their throne rooms. So, using this mesh since it is no longer available at the original site, I recoloured a comfy seat fit for a King or Queen or whoever else it may interest.

The Queen's Trousseau

I had hoped to post The Queen's Trousseau update sometime ago, but my photobucket account had exceeded it's bandwidth allotment. Well, that's now solved. So, here's the updated dresses that had been posted at the PlumbBob Keep.
You'll need Cynnix' Nuns Outfit as your mesh for the recolours to work.

The new updates features the same gown textures as the earlier posted ones, but a new variation -- higher neckline with gold embroidered collar, V-shaped stomacher, lowered belt and pleated skirt on the the solid colours.

Apologies about all the missing images over the last few weeks. Edit: Sept 26/2017. After looking at these early attempts at my texturing attempts, I may come back to these and redo them soon. I know they can look so much nicer now that I've gotten some practice under my belt.

Northumbria- Series 5

I was planning on bringing this series to a close, but a few requests have compelled me to keep creating. I've been dealing with some personal tragedy, so the going has been pretty slow. Hopefully it is worth the wait!
First up is the lot I built for Cynnix, The Count's Castle by the Sea. She requested a beach lot, and although I am also building a port, I thought I would build a castle as well. This lot has been created with protective barriers in mind, perhaps a Lord with a large army can reside here, and protect the city's sea borders. It is a smaller castle compared to my others, but there is plenty of room to build and lots of space to garden, swim in the sea, and lounge around on the beach. Obviously you will need Bon Voyage to play this lot. I have all expansion packs and most of the stuff packs.
Next up is The Northumbrian Royal Estate, the castle I created for my royal family. This lot is very large, and situated high up. It is probably not best for very old computers. This lot has a protective wall, towers for protection and torturing, luxurious apartments and lovely views. As with most of my lots in this series, these are very sparsely furnished and decorated to keep down the amount of custom content used. In addition to the usual downloads included (see Northumbrian Series 2) there are:

Market Stuff

This set contains recolours of a display, sack and baskets.
You need the following meshes:
Potpourri Display (requires OFB; shows only on Community Lots): Retailsims
Sack UK1967 MTS
Baskets Moune
(I have used the old version of the basket meshes. Moune has changed her set to repository in April '11, not sure if my recolours will work with them, too.)

Male Coif

I started to share these Saturday but I didn't feel well so I took a nap. I didn't wake up until late Sunday evening lol So better late than never, here are the male coifs.
The hair comes in the four basic colors with gray linked to the black, it was binned with CatOfEvilGenius's new tool.
This one is maxis match because I was unable to use the psd AlmightyHat made me. For the coif texture I used the same mash up of a few seamless linen textures I used on my female coif. You also get a burlap coif for your serfs because Vampire_of_Death suggested it.

HugeLunatic's Columns & Beams

Here are four recolours of HugeLunatic's Columns & Beams Redux Set.
If you have her old set, you might have to remove it from your downloads folder and download the new one for the recolours to work.

Chamber Pot and Bowl Sink

A set of functional items to be used as an alternative to modern plumbing in themed hoods.

Chamber Pot
The pot mesh was combined with the castaway toilet bush to provide a functional chamberpot that is more appropriate for historical hoods.
  • Sims will squat to use the pot.
  • No dirty state/no breakage
  • May be used diagonally
  • Make certain there is enough room for your Sim to walk around the pot to use it; do not place it directly against a wall
  • Men will not use this pot from a standing position; they will only use it when their bladder is about half full.
  • There are three pots for different age groups:
    1. Toddler
    2. Children
    3. Teen through Elder
  • The Adult Chamber Pot is the master for all textures; You must have it in the game for the other pots to work.
  • Default color is white; there are 9 more recolors included.
Bowl Sink
The bowl sink has been extracted and altered from the modern sink in the Kitchens & Bath stuff pack. It was then cloned on the expensive pedestal sink.
  • The sink may be placed on any table or end table using cheats.
  • The bowl has all the functionality of a regular sink: hand wash, drink, bathe infant, wash dishes, sponge bath, plus the additional actions if a medicine cabinet is placed above it.
  • The default color is white: there are 9 more recolors included and they coordinate with the chamber pot.
  • Occassionally water may appear outside the sink, such as during the sink filling up. The animations have not been altered from the original sink, so this is due to maxis/ea games error. [I checked and it does happen on the Kitchen & Bath Sink, but so infrequently that I find it a non-issue personally].
Notes:
-Just like regular toilets and sinks, these items are not placeable on shelves.
-You will need at least one expansion from Pets or later installed for these items to work in your game (meaning you need one of the following: Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Freetime or Apartment Life)

Eva has reworked the mesh called "Etageres Table SDB Medievale 191206". She kindly offered to try and see if the pots on the shelf could be recolourable, but she noticed that the pots alone had a polycount of over 4000 while the hutch was only 400. She has taken them out so you can now place items on the shelves using OMSPs. You can only have ONE of them in your game, so if you download this file posted by Eva - Etageres Table SDB Medievale 161206, let it over-write the original. Thank You Eva!
