More Frivolous Statues

Using the meshes available at SketchFab and Scan The World, here's a few more statues for those palace hallways, museums or outdoor gardens. Most are 4 tiles standing 2 stories tall. The numbers after the names indicated the polycounts for each. I hope you enjoy decorating with them. A few more items finished from the Works-In-Progress files.

Manor Regency Suite

I had found a sofa mesh at Cadnav.com and used it as the base for a new furniture set that I'm calling The Manor Regency Suite
. The meshes have a master mesh, the sofa, while the rest of the meshes are slaved to it for their textures. The bed has a recolourable set for the bedding.

Tapestries from the Royal Collection -- The Story of Abraham Series

Quoted from The Royal Collection:
Tapestry subjects ranged from the mythological and religious to the decorative, allegorical and heraldic. The scenes in this series may have appealed to Henry VIII (1491–1547) because of his own political concerns. Taken from the biblical book of Genesis, the panels include God's appearance to Abraham to establish a covenant of blessing. Henry might have referred to this to strengthen his own claim to God-given rule after the Break with Rome in the 1530s. The circumcision of Abraham's long-awaited son, Isaac, would also have resonated with the king's increasingly desperate attempts to provide a male heir.

The Royal Collection set is woven in expensive gilt thread, which suggests that it was commissioned by Henry himself. During the king's lifetime the tapestries were hung at Hampton Court Palace, and when the series was valued by the Interregnum government 100 years later, it was priced at £8260. This astonishing sum was far greater than for any other work of art, highlighting the elevated position occupied by tapestries in this period.

Panels from the series were hung in Westminster Abbey for the coronations of Elizabeth I, in 1559, and the Stuart monarchs in the seventeenth century. Under William III (1650-1702), some of the series furnished the new king's apartments. The fact that tapestries 150 years old, rather than a newly commissioned set, were used for the King's Bedchamber clearly indicates their continued magnificence and power as emblems of the Tudor dynasty.

Before showing the pictures from the series, I made a new edited mesh from SimsWardrobe. The mesh is 5 tiles long and 2 stories high, since the tapestries created for royalty were meant to be in large spaces to showcase the majesty of the monarch. The mesh is titled "Audience with the Queen". It is needed for the Abraham Series to show up in the catalog.

Versailles Seating Part Two -- Tapestry textiles

In relation to the previous post, I did a series of textures using embroidery or tapestry textiles. Only a wee few this time ... 25 to be exact. I needed to save some for the "royal collection tapestries" upload I'm planning on publishing. When Henry VIII died, his inventory listed over 2,450 tapestries in his collection. But that's another post. LOL

Versailles Seating - Simple Fabrics

Continuing with the 9th Anniversary gifts for Ingrid and all the Smithy visitors, I edited a bench mesh from the game Oblivion for this seating arrangement to be used in your manors, museums, halls and palaces. I hope you might enjoy them. There are, of course, 60 recolours because, Hey .... it's what I do. Gazillion Bazillion recolours LOL.

Bonaparte Suite Wallpapers

Inspired from miniature portraits of various people that were influential in Napoleon Bonaparte's life. They are mounted on a gold wallpaper of bees and a blue wallpaper of bees. Found in Build >> Walls >> Wallpaper for 5 Simoleons. Again, a Collection File has been created for both the blue and gold wallpaper textures.

Claude Lorrain Walls

Claude Lorrain is a French painter specializing in landscapes. I thought some of them would be fun to put into a series of walls. These landscapes are based on Cleopatra embarking on a voyage.

Courtly Love Walls

These walls are from a tapestry group that I thought would make a nice edition to your manors, castles, palaces or whatever your heart desires. Found under Build >> Walls >> Poured -- for 5 Simoleons.

Wow! Nine Years of Awesomeness

Sunday, August 18th marked the day of my 60th birthday. But more important than that, it is the reminder that it was 9 years ago on that day Ingrid (Lady Lama) created the Medieval Smithy for her to upload her wonderful creations. And she asked me to tag along for the ride! I was totally honoured that she thought I was worthy of showcasing my creations here too.
So in the spirit of the 9 years of Awesomeness, I thought I'd start introducing the many projects that had been on hold until I got my game working again. Thank You Sol (Lady Silverwolf) for your fantastic tutorial. It has been my saving grace.

Fixed Link : SimArchitect's Lyre Arm Settee (Edited / Updated)

So, this is embarrassing! Ooops.
I uploaded this item six years ago, and it is only today that someone out of almost 1500 people mentioned that the links were the same. Which is odd because 19 people got the correct link. Not sure what happened but obviously I was brain-dead at the time. The link is fixed now so the recolours should show ingame.

Seating a la Antoinette -- Link Fixed!

At least that's what I'm calling these furniture pieces that I extracted from the game Oblivion. The chair and sofa are modified meshes plus a new mesh utilizing the sofa to create a loveseat. I had shared these at the Keep for the 8th Anniversary. I thought it might be time to share here too. They have been picked over and tested meticulously by Sol (LadySilverwolf) with new corrections until I hope they are now complete. Thanks Sol!! Without further adieu, here's what I did with them.

Dribs and Drabs ... or Just More Stuffs

For the months of February and March, the Keep was hosting its 8th Anniversary. I thought I'd share some of the gifts I made here for those that may not visit the Keep. A setback has been prevalent for many months now regarding borkage of my game. It keeps crashing and no matter how hard I've searched for answers, nothing is working. So out of the kindness of her heart, LadySilverwolf (Sol) has been kind enough to test things ingame and take pictures for me to use. Thanks Sol! It is greatly appreciated. I figure, if no one minds, that I would keep working on things I have waiting in my Work In Progress file. It is rather extensive. LOL
The first thing is a series of statues that I created from meshes posted at SketchFab. It is a continuation from the set I had published previously here. I have a whole folder waiting to convert for the game. Most of the statuary is under 2 stories.

Lionwood Architectural Elements.

It was requested in a comment that I post the Lionwood recolours of various meshes I had published at BlackPearl Sims all those years ago. I hope I have everything put together properly Dina. Following are some pictures of the items. Meshes are by various creators such as Marina, Maylin, Cyclonesue to name a few. The meshes have been included into the zipfiles. As I said, I hope I have them all there. Any other recolours will be a EA/Maxis object.

Vivienne's Vestments for All Ages .... well, except Toddlers.

I had originally planned to upload this last year at this time, but RL got in the way. Better late than never, eh?! The robes are by Mia86 @ MTS. I have them included in the separate zipfiles for downloading. The meshes are: AF long robe, AM long robe, CU graduation robe, TF long robe and TM long robe. Both the adult meshes have elder and young adult available for wear. I have made them wearable as Everyday, Formal and Outdoor.
The headdress is an extracted mesh by Padme4000 at DeviantArt. The mesh is included with the recolours wearable by both sexes, Toddler to Elder. I haven't taken pictures of each outfit but the last 4 sets. The other images are just swatches of the Orlesian hennin and the Wizard Robes.
In some of the images you may see hair being worn by the Sims. Ideally, you would want a bald head but if you must have your Sims wearing a hairstyle, it will clip through the Orlesian Hennin. Almighty Hat has a great bald hair, called Bald Of Awesome at her site. I hope you might enjoy them.

And Merry Christmas Everyone

As you can see, they are wearable by child to Elder (Young Adult not shown).

The Marble Gardens.

Also uploaded at The Keep.

Long time no see! Not that I haven't wanted to upload new stuff, my game has been rather "sensitive" of late. What's appropriate for this day's upload is Rugs, from the Keep, took the pictures for me .... and it's her birthday today!! Happy Happy Honey!!
So, I've been downloading like crazy, all these 3D statue models from SketchFab, Scan My World and bought from CG Traders to name a few. Using Blender, I've tried to scale them down to something that still resembles the original without losing it's "look" if you will. Some are still rather high polycounts for a single tile object meaning the one story statues, while the 2 story statues are built on 2tiles (Nike of Samothrace) or 4 tiles. It's up to you if you wish to download them or not. For each of them, the one story statue is the master mesh while the 2 story statues use the same texture reference. That means you need both in your Downloads folder.
So, the pictures! Thanks for taking them Rugs.

Dragon Crowns 4 Ramar

Ramar requested 2 crowns for his Targaryen royalty. A simple everyday type of crown. A coronation styled crown. So this is what I came up with. I have not tested them ingame. They are wear-able from child to elder for both sexes.
Pictures are taken from Bodyshop

Bust of Charlemagne - Reliquary Crown

So another request made in the Smithy chatbox was by Eloi. They requested the crown from the reliquary bust of Charlemagne displayed in the Aachen Cathedral Treasury.

This is what I came up with. Again, it is wearable from child to elder for male and female Sims.

Henri IV for Remi

I had a request by Remi in the Smithy chatbox for a crown resembling this photo.
So I put together this crown for both sexes wearable by child to elder.
Thank You to Rugs at the Keep for the Brilliant pictures she did for me of them ingame!!

Emperor Jr.'s New Clothes -- Thank You NixNivis!!!

NixNivis (nixedsims) was wonderful and fulfilled a request I made, wondering if she could convert her Star Trek: The Next Generation and Voyager Dress Uniforms and Rank Insignia set to teen male. So Junior now has his own set of uniforms to impress the nobles at court. Thank You Nix! It is greatly appreciated. I won't take pictures of all the uniforms again since you can scroll down and see the adult versions of them. I took a picture of the first set as a sample. Another note, if you see the previous topic I had made a mistake in the shako hat with feathers for the teen. It's now fixed but you will need to grab the new mesh from the thread before this one, letting it overwrite the file in your Downloads folder. I have it fixed in the original thread if you are seeing this for the first time.

Don't they look like they are ready to do the Can-can!
Grab Junior Here!
