Amy's Sleep Country

So, this is only a small download compared to my other stuff. Child_of_air had requested some recolours of the Testerbed from the now-defunct Sim-Ages site. I've made 15 recolours to pick/choose from, so now Amy can start her own Sleep-Country emporium (for those outside of North America, that's a huge bed retail chain, heehee). The original set from Sim-Ages had included bed curtains with matching bedding, so these are included in the file with the necessary meshes. I'd like to do more (if people are wanting them) and hope to recolour the remaining objects within that suite of meshes from Sim Ages. Ya know, ... the ever so long banquet table and dining chairs, the night table and that humongous canopy and sleighbed combo.

I was going to try to wait until someone else posted something new, but I can't help it... it's finished and I'm so done with it...

160 Recolors... Yup, you read that right... 160... Now do you see why I'm done?!

I got the idea from here originally, by Neena_Needles. Then it was converted to add flats instead of heels by Kyra! Meshes not included, please click the links and grab them!

I Love simple clothing for my sims when they need to do something like exercise. So when I saw the original @ GoS, I knew I had to recolor!

I was only going to make a few recolors of each, but couldn't decide which tights, by Almighty Hat Here, I liked best with each color top! So that meant I decided to add 20 colors of tights to 8 outfits! They are both in the Everyday and Athletic clothing categories. (If anyone wants to change the categories, let me know, I'll re-upload.)

The Folly of Kings -- War!

Before I move on to Amy's recolour request, this is the last set that I alluded to in my last upload .... and because Eva said so. (wink,wink). This set consists of 50 illuminations depicting various medieval battle scenes. To flatter the ego of kings, they are large paintings to be displayed in a king's medieval hall ... a testament to his might and power plus it didn't hurt to stroke the king's vanity back in those days. Staves off the dreaded command -- "Off with their heads"!

And just a side-note, today I became the proud papa of two 6 month old kittens ... sisters actually. Addie and Adelle! I adopted them from the local cat shelter! I'm so excited!

The Anglo-Saxon Princess

I've begun to start reworking older creations from my old site, The Elegant Sim, which has been defunct for several years. Although I don't have access to all of my files from that site after a drive crash, there are several that I retrieved, and a few that I thought could use a re-do.

Today I present to you the Anglo Saxon Princess, Elgiva, the sim version of the daughter of Ethelred II, (969-1016) the old Anglo-Saxon King, remembered by history as Ethelred the Unready. Nobody knows what she looked like or when she was even born, but in my mind, she looks like this. Elgiva is wearing a reworked gown from my old site on Liz's Mermaid mesh. The skintone, which is called simply, "faire" and lips are also by myself.

Hair mesh by Nuptune Suzy and textures by Pooklet, eyes by Lyran, lashes by Helaene, other makeup by Rensims and Akaloid. The pearl circlet that she wears is a recolor byBillySims, which can be found here.

I wish I could tell you more about how she was in real life, but perhaps you'll decide for yourselves. I personally enjoy the idea of playing with a sim based on a real person that little is known about. It leaves much to the imagination. Enjoy! :)
